Friday again! This week has been a great week and has gone so quickly! We have been busy doing photo shoots for clients including a mad, frantic session with a puppy. Also in the studio this week, we have been supporting our students who have attended our 5 Day Portrait and Wedding Photography Course.

Congratulations to Charlotte who has successfully achieved her Adobe Certified Associateship in Photoshop CS6!

Don’t forget to visit our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/firstpointphotography where you can see some of our student’s work from the course and images they have taken outside of the course with the skills they have learnt.

This week in the studio we’ve been busy teaching our ten day advanced portrait and wedding course. Our students are making good use of the lovely weather again with lots of shoots outside as well as in the studio.

For those of you who have attended the course or know us well we are sad to say that Toni left our team last week. But don’t despair, she will still be around to model for the courses!

Our Facebook page is developing really well and we now have an album for our past students to post images they have created since the course too! We’re really proud of how far they have come since the course, so stop by our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/firstpointphotography) and show your support to them.

It’s been another lovely week by the beach here in Bournemouth.  Our students have made the most of the good weather and have been out on location, both urban and rural settings, shooting portraits and getting familiar with using reflectors, diffusers and off camera flash.

The week we’re also pleased to announce that we now have two more of our courses approved for resettlement by ELCAS.

5 day digital manipulation course (City & Guilds level 3 award in working with digital images)

In this course you will cover a variety of editing software, professional workflow and a variety of techniques to improve and manipulate images, including using Adobe Photoshop to create a variety of composite images, Photomatix to create HDR photos, plus Blurb Booksmart & ProShow Professional to create interesting products for clients and more besides! This week is full of useful guidance towards improving your post-production skills.

15 day advanced wedding, portrait and digital manipulation course (City & Guild level 3 award in photo image capture and level 3 award in working with digital images)

This course is a combination of our 10 Day Advanced Portrait and Wedding Course that covers all aspects of portrait photography, both in the studio and out on location as well as weddings, plus our 5 Day Digital Manipulation Course.  The course is very practical and you will be working with 20 different models including children, families, couples, makeovers and weddings, you will also learn how to setup and use studio lighting, as well as posing and directing the models.  We will also look at different types of wedding albums and frames, including printing direct onto aluminium, acrylic, slate and canvases.

Check out our website (www.firstpointphotography.co.uk) for further details on all our approved courses! Also, why not visit our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/firstpointphotography) to see what students have been doing on our courses recently!

It's a full house in the studio this week! With both our 5 Day Wedding and Portrait Course and our Advanced Wedding and Portrait Course running we're having great fun teaching studio and location shoots to our students. Plus with the wonderful sunshine today we hope the students get some great images on their shoots...using the techniques they've learnt!!

Also in the studio this week we've been hard at work putting together some of our new example wedding albums, which are looking really great! We've also been in the process of putting together a competition! We'll be revealing more details on that soon though so keep your eyes peeled!!

In the meantime though why not check out our facebook page at www.facebook.com/firstpointphotography where we have some of our recent students' work from the course up! Have a look at what they've been up to and show them your support by liking their images!
